Balsam Lake Mountain (Catskill Social Series)

Due to COVID restrictions on private lands this hike will not include Graham which is frequently hiked along with Balsam Lake Mountain
This hike to Balsam Lake Mountain and Graham Mountain will cover 10 miles to two of the Catskill 3500 foot peaks. We’ll look for signs of early fall color and enjoy the views from the Balsam Lake Mountain fire tower and bushwhack to the 3868 foot summit of Graham Mountain. The total elevation gain for this hike is 2000 feet.
You must be in adequate shape for a hike of this length. Please wear sturdy hiking shoes or boots and carry light layers of clothing that can be added or subtracted depending on the temperatures. See our recommended gear list for day hikes for advice on what to bring: Recommended Gear
