DESCRIPTION:Ed Moran\, a licensed New York State Outdoor Guide will speak to the ADK Albany chapter about guiding in NY.\n\nA guide license is required in NY to offer services for hire that include directing\, instructing\, or aiding a client in hiking\, camping or paddling\, fishing\, hunting\, climbing and whitewater activities.  The presentation will cover requirements for becoming a guide\, guiding as a business\, core competencies\, and examples of what makes guiding rewarding and what makes a successful trip. SUMMARY:Westkill Mountain
DESCRIPTION:Join us for April’s Catskill social series hike on Westkill Mountain.  At nearly 3900 feet Westkill’s summit is the 6th highest in the Catskills and our route will feature waterfalls and great views along the way.  Hopefully we’ll enjoy nice spring weather but it is possible that winter conditions could still be present on the mountain during April.
