SUMMARY:Balsam & Eagle open group
DESCRIPTION:Hike with us on September 16 as our Catskill Social Series takes us to the summits of Balsam and Eagle Mountains in the Catskills.  If you haven’t been to Eagle in a while\, there is now a canister marking the summit at the end of the short herd path from the trail.  We should be starting to see some fall color by September 16.  This is a strenuous hike with 2800 feet of elevation gain over 10 miles. SUMMARY:Catskill 4 peak
DESCRIPTION:Only for fit\, experienced hikers.  This peak bagger’s special will treat us to early fall Catskill glory on 4 of the 3500 peaks\, including Lone and Rocky\, two of the most feared bushwhack peaks.  We happen to think that fear is exaggerated and that’s one of the reasons we keep coming back.  Perhaps a peak bagger’s compulsion is another reason as this trip will net Rocky\, Lone\, Peekamoose and Table Mountains.
