DESCRIPTION:I’ll be giving the Water Safety for Guides certification that is needed to obtain a New York State Outdoor Guide license. This is the NYSOGA (New York State Outdoor Guides Association) class that is accepted by the DEC towards meeting the licensed guide requirements. SUMMARY:Friday and Balsam Cap - Social Series
DESCRIPTION:Our May 2023 social series hike will be a challenging bushwhack of Friday and Balsam Cap Mountains in the Catskill Mountains.  The climb to Friday Mountain is quite steep and gains a lot of elevation.  With a total elevation gain of  3000 feet over 6 miles\, this hike will take most of the day.  Along the way we’ll enjoy some classic Catskill views.  These two trail-less peaks are required summits for membership in the Catskill 3500 club. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis hike is being presented in conjunction with the Catskill 3500 Club and the Adirondack Mountain Club. We strongly encourage you to join one or both of these clubs.Contact Ed to reserve your spot on this fun\, but challenging hike. Please share a sentence or two about your recent hiking experience.   \n\n\n\n\nContact\n\n\n\n\n About our social series:Ed is an avid hiker with a long tradition of giving back to the hiking community by leading free guided hikes for clubs and friends of Eastern Outdoor Experiences.
