The ledges on North Dome are notorious and can be a major obstacle for the uninitiated. The summits themselves are view-less\, but there are spectacular viewpoints near both summits. \n\n\n\nThis is a challenging hike covering nearly 10 miles with 3300 feet of elevation gain. Most of the hike is off-trail (i.e.\, “bushwhacking”). \n\n\n\nThis hike is being presented in conjunction with the Adirondack Mountain Club and the Catskill 3500 Club.
