Our May 2023 social series hike will be a challenging bushwhack of Friday and Balsam Cap Mountains in the Catskill Mountains. The climb to Friday Mountain is quite steep and gains a lot of elevation. With a total elevation gain of 3000 feet over 6 miles, this hike will take most of the day. Along the way we’ll enjoy some classic Catskill views. These two trail-less peaks are required summits for membership in the Catskill 3500 club.
This hike is being presented in conjunction with the Catskill 3500 Club and the Adirondack Mountain Club.
