This one has everything; trails, water crossings, and miles of bushwhacking in remote wilderness. For adventurous and fit hikers, we’ll cover 10.5 miles and 2700 feet of elevation gain to find the canisters on the summits of Fir and Big Indian Mountains. The stretch between Fir and Big Indian is one of my favorites where the navigation can be tricky, even with the presence of herd paths.
This hike is being presented in conjunction with the Catskill 3500 Club and the Adirondack Mountain Club. We strongly encourage you to join one or both of these clubs.
