North Dome and Sherrill Mountains

September 10 @ 8:00 am 5:00 pm

These two required peaks for Catskill 3500 Club membership include some rough terrain that you have to negotiate before reaching the summits and signing the canister log books. The ledges on North Dome are notorious and can be a major obstacle for the uninitiated. The summits themselves are view-less, but there are spectacular viewpoints near both summits.

This is a challenging hike covering nearly 10 miles with 3300 feet of elevation gain. Most of the hike is off-trail (i.e., “bushwhacking”).

This hike is being presented in conjunction with the Adirondack Mountain Club and the Catskill 3500 Club. We strongly encourage you to consider joining these worthy organizations.
